The Honors College at the College of Charleston
Celebrating 30 Years of Academic Excellence

This year marks the 30th anniversary of the founding of the Honors College at the College of Charleston. What began as a small Honors Program with only 26 students and 6 courses is now a rich living learning community of motivated students, expert faculty, and supportive staff that focus on academics, collaboration, and global impact. The total enrollment of the Honors College is more than 650 students engaging in over 80 courses inside of a fully developed Honors College curriculum.

Over the past 30 years the Honors College has evolved but its commitment to academics has remained and will continue in the future as it positions itself to become the premier Honors College in the southeast.

Our 30th anniversary is a cause for celebration and we hope that you’ll join us on campus throughout the year as we recognize this milestone through a series of events
