August: Online Application Available

The online Undergraduate Application to the College of Charleston opens. Applicants indicate on the application whether they would like to apply to the Honors College. Selecting "yes" will prompt the applicant to submit supplemental Honors College information and materials that are not required by the Office of Admissions.

November 1: Early Decision Deadline

Early decision applicants make a commitment to enroll at the College of Charleston in the following fall if admitted. If the College of Charleston is your first choice, you are encouraged to apply by this binding early decision deadline. All early decision applicants submitting their application and supplemental materials by November 1 will receive their CofC decision and Honors College decision by mid-December. More information on the Early Decision deadline is available here

December 1: Early Action/Honors College Priority Deadline

December 1 is the non-binding early action deadline for the College of Charleston. All early action applicants submitting their application and supplemental materials by December 1 will receive their CofC decision by mid-January and Honors College decision by the end of January.

December 1 is the Honors College priority deadline in order to be considered for the Honors College Interview Weekend in February. This deadline is recommended for all students interested in the Honors College. After this deadline, admission may become more difficult as we become more selective with our remaining acceptances.

Note: Students may apply prior to the November 1 deadline and indicate that they would like to be considered an "early action" applicant so that their decision is non-binding.

Early February: Honors College Interview Weekend

All applicants who have submitted their application and supplemental materials by the Honors College priority deadline will automatically be reviewed for an invitation to the interview weekend. Invited students will interview for Honors College named scholarships and special opportunities; however, if an applicant is not invited to attend, they are still eligible for other College of Charleston merit-based scholarships. Invitations will be sent out by the end of December, and invitees must attend the two-day event to be considered for Honors College merit scholarships and other special opportunities.

The 2019 Honors College Interview Weekend will be held on February 8-9.

February 15: Regular Notification Deadline

To receive a decision by April 1, students must submit the application for admission and all supplemental materials by February 15.

May 1: Decision Day

You must submit your tuition deposit by May 1 to secure your spot in the incoming Honors College class.

*All Honors College decisions will be received via mail after students receive a decision from the College of Charleston.
