Honors Academic Advising

All Honors College students are required to meet with their Honors College Academic Advisor before priority registration each semester. If you have a declared major(s), you must also meet with your major advisor(s).

Major advisors should sign the Honors College Registration Form and you should return the signed form to the Honors College on the specified date.  Students who have met with their advisors and turned in the Honors College Registration Form will have their Honors College hold cleared for the start of priority registration.

Advising for Freshmen

All Honors College freshmen have individual meetings with the Honors College Academic Advisor, Dr. Bryan Ganaway, before priority registration in  the fall and spring semesters. Our Honors Academic Advisor focuses on our freshmen to ensure that they are on track academically. Once you declare a major, you will also have a major advisor in that department.

Advising for sophomores, juniors, and seniors

Upperclassmen are assigned to an advisor in the Honors College based on class year. Declared upperclassmen meet with the major advisor(s) as well as with their Honors College advisor each semester before priority registration begins.

William Aiken Fellows

All Williams Aiken Fellows are advised by the Associate Dean of the Honors College.
