Honors Visit Program

A Personalized Honors Experience

One visit to the Honors College at the College of Charleston and your college search will be complete. Your future begins here!

If you are a junior or senior in high school or a transfer student from another university who is interested in the Honors College at the College of Charleston and who fits our description of an Honors student, we encourage you to spend the day on our campus! Honors Visits are offered Monday through Friday when classes are in session.

During an Honors Visit, you will get a taste of what it's like to be in the Honors College – interact with Honors College students, faculty, and staff and experience our community.  Each Honors Visit is personalized for the visiting student and includes an opportunity to:

  • Attend an Honors College class
  • Meet with an Honors College staff member
  • Have lunch with an Honors College student (available for seniors only)
  • Take a campus tour *must be arranged through the Office of Admissions, unfortunately we cannot provide tours of campus*

Honors Visits for the spring of 2012 are now closed. If you have plans to be in town between April 13-August, one of our Honors College staff members would be happy to meet with you in conjunction with your tour, but we cannot arrange for a class visit or lunch with a current student. Honors Visits will resume in early September of 2012. Please email Maria Richardson at honorsvisit@cofc.edu or call 843-953-7878 to schedule a meeting with the Honors College.
