August: Online Application Available

The College of Charleston application opens via our website and Common App. Applicants indicate on the application whether they would like to apply to the Honors College. Selecting "yes" will prompt the applicant to submit supplemental Honors College information and materials that are not required by the Office of Admissions.

December 1st: Honors College Priority Deadline

December 1st is the Honors College priority deadline in order to be considered for the Honors College Interview Weekend in February. This deadline is recommended for all students interested in the Honors College. After this deadline, admission may become more difficult as we become more selective with our remaining acceptances.

Early February: Honors College Interview Weekend

All applicants who have submitted their application and supplemental materials by the Honors College priority deadline will automatically be reviewed for an invitation to the interview weekend. Invited students will interview for Honors-named scholarships and special opportunities; however, if an applicant is not invited to attend, they are still eligible for other College of Charleston institutional merit-based scholarships. Invitations will be sent out by the end of December, and invitees must fully attend the two-day event to be considered for Honors College merit scholarships and other special opportunities.  Please note that a student does not need to be invited to the interview weekend in order to be admitted to the Honors College. Only a select number of Honors College admitted students are invited to the interviews.

The 2021 Honors College Interview Weekend will be held on February 5th-6th, and students who are invited will be notified by December 18th

February 15th: Regular Notification Deadline

To receive a decision by April 1st, students must submit the application for admission and all supplemental materials by February 15th.

May 1st: Decision Day
