Lowcountry Citizens' Summit

A venue for conversations regarding the construction and sustaining of a productive, equitable Lowcountry community.

The 2023 Lowcountry Citizens' Summit will take place on March 25
 

The goal of the Lowcountry Citizens' Summit is to bridge the gap between the College of Charleston campus and the broader Charleston community by engaging students and local community members in timely, meaningful conversations regarding the building and maintaining of a productive, equitable Lowcountry community.

This year's summit will place on Saturday, March 25, 2023 from 9:45 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. The event will address the UN Sustainable Development Goal Good Health and Wellbeing on multiple levels, and will feature morning and afternoon panel discussions, a lunch-time poster session, and breakout group discussions on various topics throughout the day.

The Lowcountry Citizens' Summit is hosted by the Honors College and co-sponsored by the College's Center for Sustainable Development, the Office of Institutional Diversity, the Environmental and Sustainability Studies Program, and the Department of Health and Human Performance.

The 2023 Lowcountry Citizen's Summit is free to attend and open to all members of the campus and Charleston-area community. Join the conversation by registering today.

The Lowcountry Citizens' Summit begins at 9:45 a.m. with opening remarks and ends at 3 p.m. after our final breakout sessions. While we would love for you to spend as much time as you like with us, we know our community members are busy! Attendees are welcome to join us for as many summit activities as you are able to.The registration form will allow you to indicate which session(s) you plan to attend.
