Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until a course reaches capacity. We will follow up and notify all applicants of their enrollment status within one week of receiving a completed application. The application portal will automatically email you a copy of your application, which you should keep for your records. Once your application has been processed, we'll send you an email from honors@cofc.edu with a complete timeline, checklist, and instructions for payment and remaining paperwork.

Who is Eligible

The Honors College Summer Institute is open to high school students of all backgrounds who will be entering their sophomore, junior, or senior year in August 2021.

Program Cost

Tuition for in-person courses is $500.
Tuition for online courses is $300.
*A limited number of $100 scholarships are available to help offset tuition costs. Once you submit your application, you will receive additional information about the scholarship application process.

Deadlines 

Deadline extended!
Application/Deposit Deadline ($150): June 9, 2021

Full Payment Deadline: June 14, 2021

Applications for each course will be reviewed on a rolling basis until the course reaches capacity. Interested students are encouraged to apply as early as possible by submitting a nonrefundable deposit of $150 before June 9. This deposit is applied to the full enrollment cost, which should be submitted by June 14 to ensure your spot in the course is reserved.

Late applications: Applications may still be accepted after the June 9 deadline, if space remains available in a course. Contact Honors@cofc.edu to determine course availabilty after the priortity deadline.

Refund Policy

Students who do not participate in the Institute forfeit their $150 deposit. Students who pay the full amount and decide to withdraw before June 7 are eligible to recoup the remaining balance from their payment. Students who withdraw after June 7 are eligible to recoup their remaining balance in the event of hospitalization or death of an immediate family member. All other withdrawals, including student dismissal, are ineligible for refunds.
